In 1982 I started my company -------- Landscaping doing at first irrigation systems. Son after I got a Ca. Contractor Lic. #654---. I went to UC. Berkeley and got a degree in Landscape Architecture with a focus in soils and plants, as well as design and drainage. From that time until 2005, I built a landscape construction company based with doing quality and creative work for those that knew the difference. I never promised to be the lowest cost company, and instead my dedication was to doing the highest quality work and giving the client what they wanted. My ability to listen to my clients, and actually hear what they want, is a big reason all my work came by referrals rather than spending money to advertise. We worked mostly in Los Gatos and the Santa Cruz Mountains and at times other areas. I purchased equipment and we focused on turning seemingly unusable land into beautiful and functional places. We were the #1 installer for Calstone company for wall materials and pavers in the south bay for years. We were on the front cover of their catalog for years with our work as well as pictures inside and on their website. I have also been building waterfalls all those years and have done waterfalls both large and small as can be seen on my Facebook and website pages.
In 2006 I found myself dealing with some very tough personal issues that caused me to put all my focus and resources into. My business could not withstand the lack of time I had to give to it so the doors were shut in 2010 after eventually selling my equipment to be able to fund the issue.
Now it is 2026 and I have come out on the other side of that issue and want to get back to my love of landscape work! I am starting out with nothing once again as I did in 1982, however now I have 44 years of experience, constant education and a new appreciation for the trade. I know my knowledge and experience have huge value. I am living in Watsonville now and would like to make this re-start in the coastal area from Santa Cruz to Carmel and focus on doing all aspects from design to construction. I miss working with people and creating intimate living places outside, and planting things, and watching them grow into maturity. I have a Facebook page and lots of references from years gone past. I am looking for someone who is wanting my services and are able to understand I am starting over again and that allowances will need to be made, and the result will be worth it, as well as the cost will be adjusted to compensate.
