The only wear is the following:
1. I thoroughly cleaned the unit, but there's still some caked coffee oil residue inside the drum which I wasn't able to clean out. It's possible oven cleaner could remove the remaining residue, but I think it's fine to be left as is.
2. The stainless steel cover has some fine scratch marks on it as I used to clean it with a brillo pad (out of habit, not realizing it would leave scratch marks)
3. The smoke filters need to be replaced. (Probably not 100% required, but would keep the kitchen cleaner if you roast indoors.)
Otherwise, everything is still working as if it were a brand new roaster!
This roaster makes home roasting incredibly easy. While you can plug in a laptop to make your own roasting profiles, it's automatic settings can roast coffee to the same quality as commercial roasters like Cat & Cloud or Verve.
