Free Mangave (with a catch)--you have to dig them up. These Mangave are healthy and growing on a mound. I want to thin them out by removing about half of them gently. Must be removed carefully so the surrounding plants aren't damaged and the area must be left neat. The roots are shallow and mostly a bulb as shown in the picture, but the slope of the mound makes the job a little more difficult. Dirt is pretty soft because I just watered. Bring you own digging tool(s) and something the carry away the plants. They grow in clumps.
