Assists with installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment under the guidance of licensed electricians. Learns to ensure work is performed in accordance with relevant codes and standards.
Responsibilities
Assists with installing electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, under the direction of a licensed electrician.
Assists in diagnosing and repairing malfunctioning electrical systems and components.
Assists in inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair.
Assists in testing electrical systems and circuits using testing devices to ensure compatibility and safety.
Learns to plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, following job specifications and codes.
Assists in preparing sketches or following blueprints to determine the location of wiring and equipment.
Reports potential hazards or safety concerns to the supervising electrician.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical diagrams.
Eagerness to learn and follow safety protocols.
Desired Skills
Electrical systems installation and maintenance.
