The price for both gauges is $200. Or you can purchase a single gauge for $150. These prices are firm and non-negotiable. Please don't ask for a discount or make an offer.
For sale is a high-quality device used to precisely and scientifically measure the torque or twisting force of a rotating object. This is often called a torque gauge / gage. I have two of these devices, which are nearly identical. But the measurement range of each device is slightly different. Since they cover different measurement ranges, they complement one another.
Both torque gages are Tohnichi Manufacturing Company brand. Both were made in Japan. Each gauge is about 3" in length and 1.5" in diameter.
Both units measure torque using the standard gram-force-centimeters (cm-g). Using a standard calculator, it's possible to convert these metric units to the American equivalent of pound-foot (lb-ft).
These are bi-directional gauges, where the measurement scales work for clockwise or counterclockwise rotating forces. A red scale is used for clockwise forces. A green scale is used for counterclockwise forces. Readings can be taken from the top of the device or from the side of the device.
The first torque gauge is a model number ATG-1200. It's capable of measuring torque between 100 - 1,200 cm-g. It can measure in increments of 20 cm-g. Its accuracy is +/- 2%. The serial number on this device is 3432R.
The second torque gauge is a model number ATG-2400. It's capable of measuring torque between 200 - 2,400 cm-g. It can measure in increments of 50 cm-g. Its accuracy is +/- 2%. The serial number on this device is 3382R.
Both torque gauges are in excellent structural, functional, and cosmetic condition. There is nothing wrong with either unit.
Please note that these units do NOT come with any chucks to grasp the item you are rotating. But the bottom barrel of the device has a standard 1" diameter screw-mount fitting. You can use almost any standard plastic or metal chuck with it. You can also purchase a Tohnichi brand chuck from many websites.
What is included is the standard plastic cylindrical barrel that can be used with almost any Tohnichi brand calibration device.
I also have a single Tohnichi brand storage case that will fit one of the gauges. Unfortunately, the other storage case for the second unit was lost during a recent move.
You can pick up from my house near the San Jose Airport. Or I would be happy to deliver it to you, if I happen to travel out in your direction.
