For sale is Craftsman brand professional woodworking router. The router motor is model number 315.175340. The router base is model number 315.175320. Complete technical details are noted below.
The powerful 9.5-Amp motor operates at 25,000 RPM. It's got a standard 1/4" shank collet size. Everything is housed in a robust full metal housing.
Also included in the sale is a combination plunge and fixed router base that surrounds the motor. This router is very versatile, because it allows to both plunge routing and fixed routing.
The plunge router portion has spring-loaded arms that lift the motor and bit up off the workpiece. To route the wood, the router must be pushed down into the material. When finished with a cut, the user can release the pressure and the router will lift back up, bringing the bit with it. In this way, you can router wood in the middle of a piece, without starting at the edges.
It's possible to rotate some screws on the plunge base to fix it into place and prevent it from moving vertically. In this way, the plunge-based router can become a fixed-based router.
The router motor and router base are in excellent functional and cosmetic condition. More specifically, the router motor, shank collar, plunge arms, and vertical lift mechanisms are perfect with no problems. You can feel free to test the system before purchase to confirm that everything works.
Besides the router motor and router base, you'll also get a collet lightening wrench, the dust collection adapter, a T-square attachment, the product manual, and a custom-made wooden carry and storage case.
Please note that no router bits are included in the sale. But router bits can be purchased cheaply at Home Depot.
