For sale is a heavy-duty professional-quality grinder / sander power tool. It's a Craftsman brand, model number 315.7762. Complete technical details are listed below.
This is mainly used to grind and sand metals and other harder materials. But it can also be used to grind and sand softer materials. This is a disk type unit with a large 7" diameter circular head that rapidly spins. It has an 8-amp / 1-horsepower motor that operates at 4,400 RPM. The motor and spindle head are contained in a heavy-duty, full metal housing for longevity. Due to this, it weighs about 20 pounds! This is a professional quality tool for heavy-duty uses.
The unit is in excellent functional condition. The motor, trigger, and spindle all operate as they should with no problems. There is absolutely nothing wrong with this tool. You can test it before purchase to confirm that it works.
The grinder / sander is also in excellent cosmetic condition. Most of it still shines like new. There are some tiny surface scratches, but these are merely cosmetic issues that don't harm the functional of the tool.
As part of the purchase, you'll get the tool, the disk head, a used 4" rubber pad, a new 7" rubber pad, and the side-handle. I'll also include a small box of new 7" medium-grit aluminum-oxide sanding disks for grinding and sanding metal and other harder materials. The original cardboard box or product manual are not included. And I no longer have the original collet tightening wrench.
You can pick up from my house near the San Jose Airport. Or I would be happy to deliver it to you, if I happen to travel out in your direction.
