Summit Bicycles, a leading retailer of premium cycling equipment in the Bay Area, is seeking a passionate and driven Assistant Store Manager for our San Jose location. This role is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated leader to support the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations, sales, and team development.

Responsibilities
Sales and Leadership: Drive sales performance and ensure the store meets its targets. Lead by example on the sales floor, providing exceptional customer service and product expertise.

Team Management: Assist in training, coaching, and motivating a team of sales and service staff. Help maintain a positive, productive, and respectful work environment.

Store Operations: Oversee daily store functions including opening/closing procedures, inventory management, merchandising, and maintaining a clean and organized showroom.

Customer Experience: Ensure every customer who walks through our doors receives a world-class experience. Act as a point of contact for customer feedback and resolutions.

Service Department Support: Work closely with the Service Department to manage workflow, set customer expectations, and ensure timely completion of repairs.

Qualifications
Experience: Previous retail management or assistant management experience is required, preferably in the cycling industry or a related field (e.g., outdoor retail, sporting goods).

Cycling Knowledge: A strong passion for and in-depth knowledge of bicycles, parts, and accessories is essential. You should be comfortable discussing a wide range of cycling disciplines from road to mountain and e-bikes.

Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Adaptability: The ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Availability: Must be available to work weekends and some holidays as needed.
