● Home Care Aide: soon to get certified
● Experience:
2.5 years as a live-in assistant for elderly lady who had a stroke and can only use one hand; mostly light cooking, driving and errands, and whatever she needs help with. I also walk the dog, feed it and cleanup after it. The biggest benefit to her was that I'm always around (she has few friends or family). Since being there.. her health and diet improved, much of her pain subsided, and her mood, mental acuity and mobility improved.
Services Offered:
● Household Support: meal preparation, taking care of the dog (walk, feed and clean-up), light housekeeping, errands, driving, folding laundry, etc.
● Otherwise I am available for hire; which may also include gardening, handyman, painting, etc.
● Companionship: meaningful conversation, activities to promote well-being, empathy, and a safe and nurturing environment
● The real value is that I'm usually home and available, and I'm easy to get along with.
● I do not help with personal care: personal hygiene, bathing, grooming, toileting
