For sale is a high-quality Velbon brand travel tripod with a 3-way pan head. The tripod legs are model number HG-4 and the tripod head is model number PH-128. Complete technical details are listed below.
This is a very robust and study tripod, mainly constructed of aluminum. Other parts of the tripod are steel and plastic. The system can can accommodate camera gear up to 8 pounds in weight. But it's relatively lightweight, weighing about 4 pounds. This system is intended for mobile, travel photography and videography.
Each of the three tripod legs has can be individually set at different angles to balance the tripod on uneven ground. Each leg can be angled up to 30 degrees from vertical. Each leg has three (3) individual sections that can telescope out for greater height. Each leg section is locked or unlocked using standard flip levers. The legs terminate in rubber feet. In the middle is a gearless center column that can rise up to 10.5" and lock into place using a dial lever.
The included tripod head is a 3-way pan head type. You pan the head to the left or to the right by simply rotating it left or right. You can also tilt the head front to back (or vice-versa) by simply pushing the head forward or back. The head has an 6" arm that allows for careful adjustment for the pan and tilt. You can also move the camera from landscape mode to portrait mode by shifting the tripod head base plate up by 90 degrees. The top of the tripod head has a standard 3/8" screw mount to connect to your camera gear.
When fully collapsed for storage and transportation, the tripod measures about 17.5" long, 4" deep, and 4" wide. When opened for use but without the legs extended or center column raised, the tripod is 16.5" tall. This is the minimum height of the tripod in use. When the legs are completely extended, but the center column is down, it's 45" tall. And when the legs are completely extended and the center column is raised fully, the tripod is 55.5" (or 4.6 feet) tall, which is its maximum height.
The entire tripod unit is in excellent functional and cosmetic condition. The leg flip-locks all open / close with ease. All leg sections extend and collapse with ease. The pan, tilt, and pivot functions on the head all move smoothly with no problems. The locking mechanisms all work perfectly.
As part of the purchase, I'll include a Ulanzi brand carry pouch bag, model number MT-49. It's a soft-sided black-color nylon bag with a zippered enclosure that makes it easy to store and transport the tripod. The bag measures about 19.5" long, 4" wide, and 4" deep. It has a long carry strap that you can place around your shoulder.
