The price is $180. I won't sell the tripod legs separately from the tripod head. This price is firm and non-negotiable. Please don't ask for a discount or make an offer.
For sale is complete portable tripod system intended for professionals on the go. The entire system weighs less than 2.5 pounds! With a 7-pound maximum load capacity, it can hold most types of camera gear. This tripod system offers an incredible balance between portability and sturdiness.
The tripod system includes a set of carbon fiber tripod legs, a compatible aluminum tripod ball head, and a small, cloth bag for storage and transportation. All three items are Slik brand.
All items were purchased online at BH Photo right before the pandemic for some travel-related trips that never took place (due to the pandemic). I am in the process of upgrading my camera gear and this portable tripod is no longer necessary.
As part of the purchase, you'll get a set of Slik brand tripod legs, model number PRO-614CF. The legs are constructed of carbon fiber and magnesium alloy for lightweight, but robust support. The legs have a 7-pound load capacity, but due to the carbon fiber construction, the set weighs less than 2 pounds!
This is a three-section tripod, with twist locks. The legs have a center column that rises for extra height. The legs can independently spread up to 85 degrees. When completely folded for storage, the tripod is slightly less than 18" in length. With the center column completely raised, the maximum tripod height is 62". With the center column lowered, the maximum height is 50". The minimum height is just 4", because the legs are capable of extending out at a 85-degree angle. This low minimum height allows you to take pictures of ground level objects. The legs connect to the ball head using a standard 1/4"-20 male tripod head screw mount.
These tripod legs are in excellent functional and cosmetic condition. The twist locks and individual leg sections open and close with ease. The push and pull movements of each of the three legs are smooth and non-jerky. The rubber feet are excellent. And the tripod mount screw post is intact without concerns. There are no major scratches, dents, dings, or other cosmetic concerns on any of the exterior surfaces.
As part of the purchase, you'll also get a very small, but competent tripod ball head that is a perfect match for the legs. The ball head is a Slik brand, model number SBH-180DS. It is constructed of aluminum and magnesium alloy for lightweight, but robust support. The head has a 7-pound load capacity. It weighs about 6 ounces!
The ball head measures just 3.4" in height with a base diameter of 1". It has a single control dial that unlocks both the ball and rotation mechanism. The ball can pivot 90 degrees for portrait-style photography. At the top of the head is an Arca-compatible quick release (QR) bracket with rotating dial lock. It comes with a small Slik brand QR plate, model number 6505 that connects to your camera gear. The head connect to the legs using a standard 1/4"-20 female tripod head screw mount.
The ball head is in excellent functional and cosmetic condition. There is nothing wrong with it. All single lock control dial works without problems. The ball head moves with ease when required. But it also stays completely stationary when locked. The QR plate robustly sits on top of the ball head and can be easily removed when necessary. The QR lock dial is intact with no problems.
As part of the purchase, you'll also get a Slik brand small soft-sided cloth tripod carry bag that fits the tripod legs and ball head perfectly. I don't know the exact model number for this bag. And there are no labels on the outside or inside indicating the model number. The case measures about 20" long, 3" wide, and 3" deep.
The case is in excellent functional and cosmetic condition. There is nothing wrong with it.
You can pick up from my house near the San Jose Airport. Or I would be happy to deliver it to you, if I happen to travel out in your direction.
I prefer that you reach out via text message. Sending an initial email message is OK. But arranging pickup solely using email is not a feasible option for me. Eventually, you'll have to text me to arrange a specific pickup or delivery time. Thanks.
