The price for the lens and filters is $300. I won't sell the lens and filters separately. This price is firm and non-negotiable. Please don't ask for a discount or make an offer.
For sale is a Sirui brand camera lens for use on Panasonic, Olympus, OM Systems, Blackmagic, DJI, Kodak, and other brands of camera bodies in the Micro-Four-Thirds eco-system (MFT, M43). This is model number SR-MEK7M. Complete technical details are listed below.
This is a normal, prime lens with a focal length of 50mm and a very bright maximum aperture of f1.8. It's constructed of 11 glass elements in 8 groups. It's got 10 aperture blades. The lens has an aluminum housing, and it is made of Schott optical glass with multi-layer nano-coatings on glass surfaces. It's a relatively small lens, measuring just 2.72" in diameter and 4.15" long. It weighs just 1.23 pounds.
This is a 1.33x anamorphic lens, intended for videography work. As with all anamorphic lenses, this "squeezes" your image to create a wider image frame. In the case of this lens, it's a 33% horizontal field of view increase. After de-squeezing, it produces an anamorphic 2.4:1 format in a 16:9 setting.
Please note that this is a manual focus and manual aperture control lens. Auto-focus in not possible. Using your camera body to control aperture is also not possible.
Along with the lens, I have the original front and rear lens caps and the original cardboard box.
Also included with the purchase are six (6) different 67mm compatible lens filters. These include a 1) UV filter, 2) polarizer filter, 3) neutral density ND2 filter, 4) neutral density ND4 filter, 5) neutral density ND8 filter, and 6) FLD filter. Complete details are listed below.
I purchased this lens to better understand anamorphic videography. I only used this a few times. It's clearly not for me, as the thought process necessary for good anamorphic videography is beyond my limited patience level.
Given its very limited use, the camera lens is in excellent functional condition with no problems. All internal and external glass elements are in perfect condition. The manual focus and manual aperture control work great. The lens filters are also in excellent functional condition, with no scratches, smudges, or other concerns.
There is a small issue with the lens: A very small 1" portion of the aluminum housing has a small dent. This dent to the aluminum housing is located at the very front portion of the lens barrel, where lens filters are normally screwed into place. The dent affects about a 20-degree arc of the barrel (out of a total of 360-degrees), so it is very small. The dent was created when I placed the lens in a crowded camera bag and another metal object pushed up against this aluminum section. The lens was NOT dropped. The dent does NOT affect any glass elements. The dent is limited to the aluminum housing. Please see the top of Picture 10, and the left side of Pictures 11 and 12 for a visual understanding of this dent. Pictures 13 and 14 show a closeup of the dent, which measures less than 1" long and 0.25" tall.
The good news is that you can still screw in lens filters into this dented section. The bad news is that it takes a lot more rotational effort to screw in a lens filter, as there is some small warping of the filter threads at the site of the dent. Due to this warping, a filter can only rotate into place about 75% of what would be normal. Normally, it would take 4 full turns (360-degree rotations) of the filter to completely secure it. But with the dent, you can only rotate a filter 3 full turns. The good news is that once you complete the 3 full rotations, the filter is securely held in place and won't fall off.
I suggest securely screwing in the included UV protective filter and leaving it on all of the time. And then you can easily screw in the other included filters unto this UV filter. This is one way of managing the effects of this small dent issue. Or if you never use filters, then this dent issue won't represent a problem at all.
You can pick up from my house near the San Jose Airport. Or I would be happy to deliver it to you, if I happen to travel out in your direction.
I prefer that you reach out via text message. Sending an initial email message is OK. But arranging pickup solely using email is not a feasible option for me. Eventually, you'll have to text me to arrange a specific pickup or delivery time. Thanks.
