For sale is my Hi-8 camcorder used from about 1993-2002. It seems to still work well, except all my cassettes are old (none newer than about 2002) so they don't play well from the camcorder. Or it's possible something else is wrong with the camcorder, though the basic functions seem to work. The camcorder is powered by an AC adapter or batteries. I include four batteries: NONE are newer than about 2002. One is unused, two were in use until 2002 and one might have been used a lot, early in the camcorder's life and may be spent. The three newest batteries do seem to charge from the AC adapter and do power the camcorder.
The soft plastic part of the camcorder where your hands go to hold it, has gotten soft and sticky. I put a paper towel over it so it doesn't stick to other things. I don't know if that part can be repaired.
The camcorder eyepiece swivels up for viewing as you record, or swivels flat against the body of the camera for storage.

* 3rd party case, with room and pockets to hold the camcorder, two batteries, three cassettes, AC charger and AC connector to camera and remote.
I have a note about a camcorder cleaning cassette, but I see no such cassette
