Music Can Be Fun! - Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass Lessons (san jose west)

Rosedale Dr
Do you want to learn a stringed instrument? I love teaching and coaching students to meet their goals. I teach violin, viola, cello and bass. Students of all ages are welcome. This could be someone new to their instrument or one that is experienced.

Things that I can do to help you:
• Start learning from the very beginning
• Brush up skills that you once had
• Help you progress from where you are
• Help with music from school or outside orchestra
• Answer any questions that you have about music
• Teach music theory concepts

Lessons are 30, 45 or 60 minutes. Pricing is $45, $55 and $70. 30 minute lessons are usually reserved for the younger players. High School, some middle school and adults will have either a 45 or 60 minute lesson depending on their goals, playing level and practice habits. Payments are by the month for the weeks that I am teaching. My studio policy outlines the details. I’ll be glad to share that if you are interested.

Lessons can be either be in person or via Skype. My studio is in West San Jose. In person has the advantage of my being able to see and hear what you are doing better, but Skype does work quite well. A combination of types is also possible. If you do not have an instrument please let me help with that if you decide to study with me.

I currently have a few weekday openings distributed over afternoon, and evening. A late morning or early afternoon lesson might also be possible. You are welcome to give me some ideas as to what works for you and I will let you know what the options are.

Lessons are all taught by me, Gretchen. I have 15+ years experience in private teaching and a BA in music. I work as a coach at Prospect High and Piedmont Hills High, and have worked as an aide at Easterbrook Discovery School. This means that I have passed a background check and fingerprinting.

I’ll be glad to answer an questions that you have. I look forwarding to hearing from you.
