You may have noticed that this well maintained Buescher Contra is strikingly like the Bundy Contra Alto workhorse that everyone is so familiar with. And rightfully so since, Selmer purchased Buescher and rebranded it as Bundy.
This, instrument was produced somewhere around 1968 or 69 and has been recently overhauled to play in top form from low Eb up to C above the staff (and beyond with practice).
It comes with a high end Fobes San Francisco mouthpiece and Rovner Ligature that enhances the dynamic range and articulation well beyond the standard stock mouthpiece. An added advantage to the Fobes mouthpiece is that it was designed to utilize a Bari Sax reed which allow a much wider range of options (manufactures and strengths) than a contra reed would. Plus, they are less expensive.
The case is in good condition and offers full protection for the instrument.
Stand is not included.
Let me know if you would like to stop by and give this beast a spin.
