This is a genuine 1973 Fender Stratocaster with original neck and body, refinished in Lake Placid Blue nitro lacquer. I purchased the guitar around 1975, played it regularly until the early 1980s, and it has been stored in my closet since then.
History & Work Performed
Neck refret, new nut, and neck refinish completed in 1983 by a guitar tech at Dan Torres’ shop in San Carlos, CA (receipt included).
In the 1970s, the body was routed for a humbucker, but has since been professionally restored to its original single-coil configuration.
More recently, the guitar received a professional nitro lacquer refinish in Lake Placid Blue.
The serial number on the 3-bolt neck plate and the neck date both confirm 1973. Inside the neck cavity is a factory stamp reading “ANDREW.”
Frets are in good condition with plenty of life remaining.
