For your consideration is a fantastic example of the very first g&l precision basses. 1986 is the first year for the mfd split coil precision pickup. This one is in really good shape considering it’s 40 years old but does have some dings here and there which I tried to photograph. The neck is awesome, truss rod is fully functional and recently had a professional set-up. The pickguard is the only non-original part and it is from chandler music who was the factory producer of these pickguards back in the 80’s for g&l. This one is also on the lighter side, as the maple bodies can be heavy, but this one is less than 9lbs. It’s a great bass and one I won’t be sad to see stay if there’s no interest. It also come with its original hard case which is of course bumped up but all latches work and it’s also in very good shape for 40 years. Let me know and I can send pictures of the case as well.
