Believed to be the final version of the gas tank used on Norton's Interpol police bikes, based on the larger 7-gallon steel Interstate tank. VERY GOOD condition - original white paint with minor chips and scratches, NO dents or dings anywhere, sheet metal pressing solid and intact, chrome flip-up filler cap in great shape. Inside will need some attention - looks like it was lined at one time, old liner coming off, will need to be removed, cleaned and possibly relined, but other than that this impossibly rare Norton tank is in overall excellent condition. And did I mention this thing is HUGE?!! 24 3/4" long, 14" wide at the widest point, tunnel measures 21 3/4" x 2", radio box inside dimensions 11 3/4" x 8 3/8". PERFECT long-distance touring tank for your Commando - with built-in tank bag carrier!
