Frame number stamping CB32 10779 is clean clear and unmolested, frame is straight, mostly intact and in VERY GOOD condition - once you get past some Previous Owner's color choice! Witness marks where the rear frame loops have been removed show that this was originally a Clubman frame that was "modified" for off-road competition - not an unusual fate for Gold Stars out here on the West Coast... Further evidence provided by weld repairs on the two spots that tend to crack when these frames are used in anger - the battery tray/oil tank mounting cross-tube and the bottom cross-tube under the engine. Both repairs could use a clean-up but are otherwise sound. On the other hand, all the other lugs/bosses/brackets that typically get chopped off are still there - tank buffer and top mount, head steady, seat mount, center stand mounts etc - and the main frame tubes are not completely hammered on the bottom. Sidestand lug also intact, mounting lug has been welded on with a later stand installed. Down tubes straight, steering head unmodified, original Gold Star steering stem and triple clamps/fork yokes included. Note that the frame stops on the lower clamp have been drilled and tapped for bolts and lock nuts required when clip-on handlebars are fitted - a feature unique to the Clubman Gold Star models...
