The Manufacturing Operations Manager plays a key role in leading and managing the daily operations of a manufacturing facility. The operations manager responsible for ensuring that production targets are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety requirements are met. The ideal candidate for this position will have experience in managing manufacturing operations, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a track record of driving operational excellence.
Position Overview
The Manufacturing Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the production process to ensure that output meets quality expectations as well as customer demands. They will manage operations and maintenance staff while conducting operational workflow and identifying areas of process improvement. Additionally, they will be tasked with ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, managing budgets, and tracking performance metrics.
Key Responsibilities
o Oversee production process from start to finish ensuring output meets quality and customer requirements
o Manage operations and maintenance staff ensuring they have the necessary training and resources to perform their duties
o Review operational workflow, identifying areas of process improvement, and implementing necessary changes
o Ensure compliance with health and safety standards as well as any legal regulations
o Manage budgets for production and maintenance, ensuring expenses remain within approved limits
o Track performance metrics, identify areas of underperformance, and create plans to improve operations
o Provide regular updates to Senior Management on production status and performance metrics
o Supervision across shipping/receiving, production/assembly, and the machine shop requires a combination of logistical oversight, operational management, technical knowledge, and strong leadership.
Qualifications and Requirements
o Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field required
o 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with staff management responsibilities
o Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
o Experience in the semiconductor industry is highly desirable
o Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively
o Proficient in industry-specific software and technology
o Demonstrated ability to take initiative, multitask, and work both independently and collaboratively.
o Analytical mindset with effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.
o Eagerness to learn company products, industry trends, and best practices.
Salary: $72,000+ DOE
