Position Summary:

Business Development Engineer will be responsible to Develop engineering solutions and achieve business growth. Work with various departments and manufacturing sites for integrated team approach to overall customer satisfaction. Goals include developing an understanding of our precision machining and assembly technology and full time technical sales responsibility to successfully grow revenue by selling to new or existing customers.

Key Activities:

The Business Development Engineer is responsible for developing and selling high precision custom solutions for critical medical, aerospace, defense and industrial applications.
Act as project manager, technical advisor and product advocate, actively driving the technology stage of an application.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers and manufacturing partners.
Provide design and specification development support throughout all phases of the sales cycle.
Maintain accurate records of target accounts, opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts and correspondence in company databases.
Provide comprehensive cost proposals in response to customer inquiries. This involves reviewing drawings and completely capturing the customer’s expectations.

Learn Epicor ERP system for entering RFQs and closing business.
Uphold company’s high standard of quality. Address, contain and resolve all quality issues expeditiously and effectively.
Participate in company sanctioned quality initiatives (AS 9100 and ISO 13485) and continuous improvement programs; all company personnel are empowered to make suggestions for continuous improvements of all systems/processes.

Perform work and maintain equipment and environment in accordance with safety policies and regulations; maintain an organized and clean work station.

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, biomedical or similar engineering discipline; or related technical experience with business degree.

Manufacturing and machining experience a plus
Minimum of 2 CoOp sessions of relevant work experience
Ability to read and understand product prints
Strong communication skills, ability to take initiative and thrive in a team environment
Detail oriented, highly organized and able to multitask under pressure
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Powerpoint
Solid Works and Part modeling experience a plus
Ability to learn and understand ERP systems
