We are looking for highly motivated employees to join our manufacturing team. UFI is a rapidly growing manufacturing company with our main facility in Fremont. The Shop is completely Airconditioned.
Key Job Responsibilities:
• Verification of acceptability of process operations and material.
• Inspect, measure parts, products, installations, or work for conformance of specifications.
• Measure dimensions of products to verify conformance to customer specifications, using measuring instruments such as calipers, gauges, and micrometers.
• Inspect frames, weldments, sheet metal and machined parts.
• Inspection of first article, and final product.
Other Functions/Requirements
• Some heavy lifting of parts weighing 25 lbs. or less.
• Record inspection dimensions and quantities on travelers for each job.
• Create NCMR and Processes Change documentation.
Technical Background: (Required Skillset)
• Must be knowledgeable in sheet metal practices, weld techniques, and proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
• Must have good math skills and knowledge of blueprint interpretation.
• Must be able to understand and interpret job travelers.
• Discuss inspection reports with those responsible for products and recommend necessary corrective actions.
• Analyze and interpret customer drawings, data, manuals, and other materials to determine specifications and other measuring require.

Educational Background
• Two-year technical degree or higher is preferred but not required.
