Stanford Graduate for Tutor: Math, SAT, AP, College Apps & more (santa clara)

offered in person
offered virtually
** Accepting students for summer and fall semester!**
**Available for remote sessions!**

Hello!

I am offering both virtual and in-person lessons for academic tutoring and mentoring for students in math, standardized testing, college admissions help & planning, and more.

Having graduated at the top of my class in high school and having graduated from Stanford University with an engineering master's degree in 2020, I am confident in my ability in a number of academic subjects, namely math. I took some of the most challenging math courses offered in school district, including AP Calculus AB and AP Statistics, and did very well in both and made 5s on their respective AP Exams. Additionally, I am quite adept in the world of sciences having taken science courses from AP Environmental Science to AP Biology to AP Physics C.

I am a very amiable person and an extremely tolerant one as well. There is no need to worry that your learning pace would be too slow -- I am more than thrilled to walk you through a concept as long as it takes for you to achieve master comprehension. Additionally, I would be more than happy to pass along study tips or tricks.

As a former high school student myself, I understand firsthand the difficulties and nuances of primary and secondary education - the need to achieve and the desire to beat out everyone else. However, such desire should not trample the need to get substance out of your learning -- and that's what I would like to instill.

No matter the path, I will try my absolute best to help you find value and solidarity in your learning!

I have tutored both peers and middle school and high school students in the local and broader communities for 9 years now and have extensive familiarity with virtual learning and how to best tackle the nuances associated with that.
I would be happy to work with you and your student in helping them achieve a better understanding and confidence in their mathematics. I very much cherish being able to help students through their middle school and high school years and help them to reach whatever goal they wish to achieve post-high school.

You will receive personalized 1-on-1 instruction whether that is homework help, conceptual help, advice and help on college admissions and essays, plus more. My goal is to strive for an amiable and judgement-free environment where the student can be themselves and not be afraid to ask any questions or for help.

My current preferred lesson setting is virtual (through Google Meet), although depending on proximity, in-person lessons at a public place can be discussed.

Current rates for virtual start at $86/hr; in-person $105/hr (slightly more depending on location - availability to be determined).

With the summer ongoing and school year starting soon, I am taking on new students, so if your student is looking for academic support or mentoring for classes, wants to start on standardized testing prep, or get a head start over the summer this is a fantastic opportunity to inquire and book a session!

For college admissions help, I am quite familiar with the process and what admissions generally look for -- for essays, I can provide edits for drafts of essays as well as follow-up live workshopping with your student to go over the edits and give the essays a high level of polish.

Please don't hesitate to contact me via replying to this ad if you have any interest or questions.

I look forward to working with you.
