The Opportunity & What You’ll Do
This role is perfect for a hardworking individual who thrives on variety and wants to contribute meaningfully to a construction project. Your responsibilities will be diverse and may include:
Construction Assistance: Support the construction crew with a wide range of tasks, including building, repairs, demolition, and site preparation.
Site Management: Property cleanup, organizing tools and materials, and ensuring the construction site remains safe and efficient.
Property Care: Light painting, landscape design assistance, and general property maintenance. This also includes daily care for property animals (e.g., feeding and watering the chickens).
Errand Running: Running to local hardware stores (e.g., Home Depot, Lowe's) to pick up materials and supplies.
Schedule, Pay, & Benefits
Schedule: Highly flexible, 2 to 5 days per week, Monday through Friday.
Hours: Flexible start and end times between 7:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m.
Pay Rate: $18 - $25 per hour, depending on experience. Higher pay offered to applicants with proven construction skills, knowledge of materials, and relevant technical expertise.
Duration: Opportunity for many months of continuous work for a reliable team member.
Start Date: Position available to start immediately.
Requirements & Preferences
Ability to Lift and perform physical labor required for a construction environment.
Communication: Must be functionally proficient in English or Spanish (Español) to communicate effectively with the crew.
Teamwork: Must be functional with our current team and eager to contribute positively to the project.
References: References are preferred and may be requested during the interview process.
Strong preference for candidates who possess a valid California Driver's License and their own reliable vehicle for running errands. (A construction vehicle is available on-site for project use as needed).
Bonus Skills: Experience in construction, property maintenance, painting, or technical skills are highly valued and will be reflected in the starting wage.
