TRAFFIC DATA COLLECTION TECHNICIAN
JOB DESCRIPTION:
We collect traffic data throughout the Bay Area and are looking for reliable field technicians to join our team.
YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Install rubber traffic tubes across roadways and secure them by hammering nails into the pavement.
- Connect tubes to a data collection device and program it using a laptop.
- Safely and efficiently cross streets, including wide roads with regular traffic flow.
- Work outdoors in all weather conditions, including rain, heat, cold, and wind.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Physically fit (must be able to lift 50 lbs regularly)
- Comfortable reading maps and using Google Maps on a smartphone
- Basic computer skills for setting up equipment
- Self-motivated and able to work independently without direct supervision
- Punctual and reliable—we depend on you to meet deadlines
- Work Schedule— Monday, Tuesday, and Friday 9AM-5PM but you MUST be flexible for occasional weekend work and mid-week work when needed
