job title: Housekeeper
We are a busy household preparing for two upcoming surgeries over the next year. Middle aged married couple, with a high school age child living at home, 2 kids starting college in the fall, with husband’s elderly (89M/85F) Italian parents in 3 story, 5 bedroom, 4 full and 2 half bathroom home in Willow Glen.

Husband works from home office, wife has multiple health conditions limiting physical activity, and 2 upcoming major surgeries in the next 12 months.

We value a calm, well-organized home environment that supports both our physical limitations and recovery needs. You’ll join a team dedicated to creating order, efficiency, and comfort in our daily life.

Position Overview
We’re looking for a reliable, proactive Housekeeper & Home Organization Specialist to join our San Jose household for at least 5–7 hours per week (with potential to grow… up to 20 hours a week if available).

In this role, you’ll handle daily & weekly cleaning (dusting, vacuuming, dishes, laundry, bathrooms), tackle larger organization projects (garage, shed, closets), and design—and maintain—systems that keep our home running smoothly.

You’ll work independently, and collaboratively, anticipate needs, and communicate clearly, especially as we prepare for and go through upcoming recovery periods. Compensation is $35-40/hour based on experience.

Key Qualities and; Responsibilities

• Strong cleaning skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Proven experience transforming and organizing large spaces (garages, sheds, closets)
• Ability to create durable systems (labeling, checklists, storage solutions) and sustain them
• Self-starter mentality—spots tasks and acts without needing direction
• Excellent communication: updates on progress, supply needs, or schedule changes
• Physical stamina to lift, bend, and safely handle household items (25 lbs minimum)
• Trustworthiness, discretion, and respect for our privacy and health needs
• Flexibility to adjust to shifting priorities, from routine upkeep to urgent recovery support
