This is a beautiful vintage pear-shaped natural ruby with 10 natural diamonds in 14K gold.
Ring size is 3 3/4. Very small. It is over 40 years old.
I do not have a certification, but it appears that it very well could be a possible BURMA RUBY. It is pigeon blood red and has strong fluorescence under UV light.
If you get it tested and it tests positive as a BURMA RUBY, it is worth at least 4 times my asking price.
You can identify a Burmese ruby by its distinctive "pigeon blood" color, strong red fluorescence under UV light, and characteristic inclusions like "silk" needles. While a professional gemologist's certification is the only definitive confirmation, these characteristics are strong indicators of its origin.
Color and fluorescence
"Pigeon blood" color: The most prized Burmese rubies have a vivid, pure red with a hint of purple, often called "pigeon blood red".
Strong fluorescence: Authentic Burmese rubies typically display a strong, intense red glow when exposed to ultraviolet (UV) light due to their high chromium content.
Color variation: Other colors exist, but the finest are known for this specific hue.
Asking $650.
