Learning and Development Trainer

The California School Employees Association has over 240,000 members who work in 750 school districts and community colleges in California. Our members provide services by acting as para-educators, administrative staff, food service, bus drivers and employees in IT, grounds, maintenance and operations.

You'll present a high quality training curriculum to enhance all aspects of CSEA culture and develop leaders. You'll have considerable exposure to leaders of CSEA at all levels. CSEA has 12 offices throughout California with approximately 300 employees.
EXAMPLES OF DUTIES
Deliver high-impact seminars, webinars or workshops at meetings and conferences
Develop, coach and mentor leaders, members and staff
Train members and staff in delivering leadership development courses
Identify training and development needs through root cause and gap analyses
Create and write learning modules
Manage projects with defined objectives, deliverables and timelines
Conduct train-the-trainer certification
Evaluate impact of training programs
Prepare status reports and updates
Act as change agent to align training activities with CSEA strategic initiatives
May be assigned to other tasks and/or special projects as needed
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS
Three years experience as facilitator
ATD certification in Leadership Development programs is perfect
Experience with instructional design
A flair for graphics design and gee-whiz technology applications is a plus
Experience designing blended learning programs is highly valued
Self-starter with initiative and sound judgment
Super communication and interpersonal skills
Be cool under pressure
Able to keep a confidence and be a trusted advisor
Commitment to service
This position requires the ability to travel overnight and work occasional weekends.
The salary range for the Member Education/Staff Development Representative is $67,370.51 - $92,893.35. Starting salaries are typically at the first step on our salary range, although consideration may be given for candidates with exceptional qualifications and experience. Additional benefits include 17 paid holidays, 3 weeks' vacation to start and 5 weeks after 7 years, medical benefits for you and your family, life insurance coverage and a pension plan.
