The border of this Large Autumn Leaves Marquetry Mirror, depicts a dragonfly and a butterfly sailing in the air among falling colorful autumn leaves. The mirror was crafted with great precision by Hudson River Inlay. Mother-of-pearl, abalone and malachite (a stone composite) was also used in the process. The Autumn Leaves Mirror consists of 17 species of woods from around the world. On the back of this mirror, there is a legend which lists the number, wood types, their origin and placement in the intricate border design. Limited Edition, certification number on back The frame size is 32"x40", glass size 20-1/2"x28-1/2", weight approximately 25 lbs. The veneers are precision cut, then assembled and finished by hand to form the one of a kind wood image. The result is a masterful piece of marquetry art of unmatched beauty and elegance. With proper care, this artwork will last for generations.
