Overview
We are a general dental practice seeking a dedicated and reliable dental assistant(RDA/DA) with proven experience to help our practice run smoothly and ensure an excellent patient experience. This position requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Duties
Welcome patients for examinations and procedures ensuring their comfort and safety.
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments and ensuring all necessary materials are ready for use.
Take high quality X-rays, adhering to safety protocols and infection control standards.
Assist the dentist during a variety of procedures by handing instruments, using suction, and anticipating needs( four-handed dentistry)
Sterilize and organize dental instruments and equipment according to strict infection control and safety protocols.
Provide patients with oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
Maintain an organized environment by managing dental supplies and equipment efficiently.
Qualification and Skills
2+ years of dental assisting experience is required.
Completion of an accredited dental assistant program.
X-ray certification is required.
Coronal polishing certificate is required.
Proficiency with dental software and basic computer skills.
Knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy, along with experience in four-handed dentistry.
Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.
Ability to assist in various dental specialties including general dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatrics.
Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with patients and team members.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $26.00 - $36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 32 – 40 per week
