$295.00 pair
Rare pair of vintage (1960's-1970's?) Koch + Lowy industrial, post modern floor lamps (torchiere) with unusually clamshell metal "shades" with single (standard light bulb) socket. Bases are solid iron/metal. Lamp stems are deeply ribbed steel tubes. Lamps weigh approx 17 lbs each. Koch + Lowy raised brand printing on underside of base.
DIMENSIONS:
Overall height is 74". Base is 8" diameter. Stem is approx 2.25" diameter. Removable shades are 8" wide when open, 6" wide when closed and 11.5" tall.
CONDITION:
Both lamps work (standard bulb)…I'm not smart enough to figure out how to turn them on/off (I put in a bulb and plugged in, both were lit). Not sure if the steel "keyhole" on each stem is a possible switch and there is a missing key (?). There don't seem to be "touch sensitive". The threads on the screw in socket are stripped…the two shades rest on the socket and a ring would thread onto the socket to hold the shade in place…both original rings are missing but I did find replacements that work. There is some oxidation/rust on the bases. Electrical cords are in good condition.
