For sale is a Drexel Furniture brand furniture piece. Drexel Furniture (also called Drexel Heritage Furniture) was a North Carolina based manufacturer of high-end American furniture first established in 1903. The company is no longer in business. The Drexel name and logo are located inside one of the drawers. But there are no specific markings on this piece to indicate a model or series number when it was made.

This is a Drexel credenza cabinet / buffet table intended for your dining room. But it could also be used in your bedroom as a dresser or in your office as a storage credenza. This is intended to store small to medium-sized items in cabinet drawers, while also allowing you to place larger items for display on the large top surface.

This cabinet is from the French Provincial genre of furniture. It has a combination of straight legs and a curved front panel. The beige color and gold trim are also very reminiscent of the French Provincial style of furniture.

The manufacturing style for this cabinet is very high-end, as you can tell from their use of dove-tail joints in the drawer sections. See picture 24 for an example of the dove-tail joint. In addition, the entire front side, including all drawers, are constructed of curved pieces of wood, which are extremely complex to make.

Nearly all of the visible exterior portions of the cabinet are constructed of solid walnut wood. This is walnut wood throughout and not just walnut veneer over MDF. A few interior wood pieces that are not visible are constructed of pine or oak wood. Because the entire cabinet is made of solid wood, it's extremely heavy, weighing more than 80 pounds!

The entire cabinet measures 66.1" wide and 38.25" tall. Since the front side is curved, the depth of the cabinet varies from 17.5" at the edges to 24" deep in the middle. The top surface of the cabinet is a single piece of wood that measures 66.1" wide and between 17.5" to 24" deep. The top surface sits 38.25" off of the ground. At the bottom of the cabinet are eight feet (one at each corner and four in the middle) with about 19" of clearance below the main portion of the cabinet.

Below the top surface sits 5 drawers that slide out using simple force. The front of each drawer has a solid brass handle with a semi-circular brass ring that flips up. The drawer slides are composed entirely of wood with no metal components.

The cabinet drawers are divided into three sections: left, center, and right. The left and right sections each have a single drawer that measures 13" wide, 13" deep in the middle and 3.5" tall. Underneath these drawers are an open space that measures 14" wide, 14.5" deep, and 11" tall.

The center section has three sets of drawers that each measure 29.25" wide, 17" deep at the edges, and 21" deep in the middle. The top drawer is 3.5" tall. The middle drawer is 4" tall. And the bottom drawer is 4.5" tall.

The left and right sections are equally sized, but mirror-images of each other. The center section is much wider than the left and right sections. All three sections have varying levels of curvature on the front.

My elderly mother-in-law purchased this used from an estate sale several decades ago. She is moving into a smaller place, and this is no longer being used.

The cabinet is in excellent structural condition. It's built like a tank and is extremely sturdy. All drawers push in and pull out with ease. There is nothing structurally wrong with it.

Cosmetically, it's also in excellent condition. Most exterior wood surfaces still shine. There are some extremely tiny scratches on some exterior wood sections, but most are not noticeable.

The only significant thing to note, cosmetically speaking, is that there is a very tiny ding on the top panel surface. I've tried to fill it in with some dark-brown colored wood filler. It's only noticeable if you are looking for it.

I can deliver this to you for FREE if you are located within 20 miles of my house in San Jose (zip code 95126). Or if you live further away, I could deliver for a small fee. I have an SUV. But you'll have to assist me in pulling the cabinet out of my car and carrying it into your place. It's simply too heavy for me to try and lift it myself. And you'll have to arrange outside help if you want to move this up any significant staircases.

I prefer that you reach out via text message. Sending an initial email message is OK. But arranging pickup solely using email is not a feasible option for me. Eventually, you'll have to text me to arrange a specific pickup or delivery time. Thanks.
