Vintage 1960/1965 Bassett Versailles French Provincial Dining Room Set. The 405-72-611 TABLE-VERSAILLES stamp un underside of table corresponds to Bassett’s cherry Versailles drop-leaf extension table. Table with two inserts and drop down sections at each end. Versatile - can seat from 2 to 10. Five chairs - one with arms and four without arms. Seats recently upholstered. China cabinet, not including contents shown in picture. Original old glass - three shelves with plate display grooves. Felted top drawer. Table and China cabinet both have wear marks - something scratches, circular water/heat marks, crackle - typical of a 50+ year old set that has hosted many family gatherings. Old catalogs for this set found online describe solid cherry legs and aprons and cherry veneer tops over hardwood substrate (common for drop leaf and extension tables). Set is located in non-smoking, dog friendly home in south Fremont, near to Milpitas/680/Scott Creek exit/Warm Springs road. You must be able to pick up and load into your vehicle.
