This desk is from the Herman Miller catalog of 1951 -- it's a beautiful, family heirloom. We had it fully professionally restored 10 yrs ago. From a long time George Nelson collector selling off and downsizing.
This Herman Miller by George Nelson piece from the 1950s is WALNUT wood. It retains the ;abel. We purchased second hand decades ago from a seller in Michigan, and shipped it to California.
The first pics show it with the original Herman miller knobs. Silver and black. But later years, we swapped out for Herman miller early George Nelson rare cupcake knobs.

Has the original Herman Miller George Nelson original foil label in the wood file drawer. American Walnut wood, no particle board, no plywood junk. They don't build them like this anymore, and the wood doesn't exist anymore, except very rarely. This is our family member’s estate.
