For sale is a portable Turntable / Record Player. This is a Crosley brand, model number CR8005U-DU1. This is the DU1 version with the unusual pink-colored soft, slightly-fuzzy exterior fabric. Complete technical details are listed below.
This device is very versatile. It can play standard 33.3 RPM, 45 RPM, and 78 RPM vinyl records. It has a built-in rotating platter and an long tonearm with cartridge, needle, stylus. The motor for the platter is driven by a standard AC wall outlet.
This device also has built-in internal stereo speakers, so that you can actually listen to your records without the need for external speakers. You can control and speaker volume using a standard dial near the tonearm.
But if you want higher quality sound, it can also output the sound from your records to a standard audio receiver, amplifier, or headphones using a standard RCA stereo cable, which is included. No complicated phono preamp is necessary.
Besides listening to records, you can also connect this device to an another audio device using wireless Bluetooth technology. For example, you can connect your cell phone to this device and use it's internal speakers to listen to what your cell phone is outputting.
You can also connect another audio device to this using the wired mini-plug input. For example, if you have an old cassette tape deck, you can connect it to this device and listen to the tapes on its internal speakers. Included is a standard mini-plug cable.
This device was purchased for my elderly mother, who used to love listening to old vinyl records from her youth. But I don't think she ever actually used this, even once. Given it's extremely limited usage, it's in excellent functional and cosmetic condition. Everything works as it should. You can test all of the functions before purchase to confirm that it works.
Besides the turntable, you'll also get a the original AC adapter, one RCA cable, one mini-plug cable, the rubber turntable mat, the 45 RPM adapter, and the original NP-6 needle stylus. The original cardboard box and product manual are not included. And no vinyl records are included.
You can pick up from my house near the San Jose Airport. Or I would be happy to deliver it to you, if I happen to travel out in your direction.
