One pair of what is one of the best values in high end speakers in the market. Stereophile Class A rated since inception and they continue to reside in the upper echelon of speakers in their price range. This is a 3-way ported speaker that uses a ribbon tweeter and aluminum midrange and woofer drivers. The cabinets are finished in a gloss redwood finish. Ports are in rear.
The speakers have dual binding posts for bi-wiring and metal mesh grilles that attach magnetically.
Sound wise the speakers are detailed without etch. They throw a large believable soundstage with great instrument separation and positioning. For their size they output a good amount of bass. They are relatively efficient so they don’t require a powerful amp to drive them. I have used as low as a 50 watter with great results. They are revealing so the quality of associated components makes a difference.

There are no boxes for the speakers. One of the speakers suffered cosmetic damage during shipping, thus the low price (these typically sell for $5k). The damage extended to a scratch on the midrange unit which has been replaced with a factory sourced new midrange. They are not really heavy so moving them around the room is easily done by one person. They benefit from careful positioning. I can assist with moving if needed.
