For sale is a single audiophile-quality speaker intended for placement as a center channel in a 5.1 or 7.1 or 9.1 home theater surround sound system. This is a Bowers and Wilkins (B&W) brand, from their 700 series of speakers, model number HTM7. Complete details are listed below.
This is a two-way vented-box system, composed of a single 1" alloy dome cone tweeter and a single 6.5" woven-kevlar cone woofer. It's an extremely large center-channel speaker, measuring 17.7" wide, 11.4" deep, and 12.1" tall. It's also extremely heavy, weighing nearly 30 pounds. It has two sets of speaker cable binding posts to allow bi-wiring. The speaker is constructed of genuine walnut wood and the grain on the wood is beautiful.
The speaker is in excellent functional condition. It sounds great, with no audio distortion at all. You can test the speaker before purchase to confirm that it delivers on sound reproduction.
The speaker is also in excellent cosmetic condition. There are no major scratches, smudges, dents, dings, or imperfections on any portions of the real walnut wood veneer surface. The only thing to note is that a small portion of the plastic bezel near the tweeter has broken off. Please see the lower portion of Picture 6. But this is merely a cosmetic issue and does NOT affect the performance of the tweeter.
