Our current opening is for an Electrical Engineer that will work on our next-generation IoT platform, wireless networking, analytics, and related technologies to enable clients to do a host of other real-world, high- impact applications.
This role will have you joining our team of great, talented, and highly motivated engineers to develop our next-generation IoT platform. Customer focus with teamwork and a positive attitude are very important. In addition, independence, multi-tasking, detail orientation, and problem solving are highly valued and expected abilities.
This is a full-time US citizen-only (initially contract) position.
Responsibilities:
• Invent and develop new products to meet customer's requirements
• Take electrical engineering designs from concept to production-ready
• Partner with contractors and vendors to support development efforts
• Develop tests to validate design, performance and reliability
• Identify new technologies to integrate into products
Qualifications:
• BS in Electrical Engineering required, MS preferred
• 7+ years of Electrical Engineering experience in sensors or related field
• Expert debug and trouble-shooting skills
• Understand electronic schematics, engineering drawings, and technical writing
• Experience in designing, building, and debugging prototype hardware
• Embedded/IoT Programming Experience in C, C++
• Experience in RF/Wireless communications, and/or other networking experience
• Technical leadership experience with ability to work across internal teams and external supplier/manufacturing partners
• Ability to dive deep into issues to identify root causes
• Experience using lab equipment: oscilloscopes, high speed digital test equipment, logic analyzers and function generators
• Knowledge of EMI and ESD sources and mitigation strategies
• Experience with I2C, SPI, UART, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and USB protocols preferred
Desired Skills:
• Experience in FPGA implementation of wireless RF protocols
• Experience in Design for Testability, Manufacturing, Maintainability, and Reusability
• Security experience- authentication and/or encryption
• Experience developing test plans, conducting tests, troubleshooting software and firmware
• Background in mechanical design, assembly, and principles
• Enthusiastic, team-oriented, independent, positive, and motivated
• Knowledge and commitment to make practical, real, solid systems
• Ability to communicate well and present and manage projects
• US Citizenship and/or US security clearance and/or CAC card
