Looking for a male personal care assistant to work on the weekends. I am a male, quadriplegic that uses a power wheelchair, living in Downtown San Jose. White, gay, male, in my 40's here. Overall, I am an easy going guy looking for some help with daily activities.
This is an active, hands-on, physical type of job. Must be strong, able to lift 120lbs and be in decent shape, comfortable with nudity, showering, grooming, and dressing. If you have medical, care giving, massage, or personal training experience that is a plus, but not required. Occasional travel opportunities may be available if interested. Applicants must be reliable, trustworthy, and have a valid driver's license, car, or access to transportation.
Pay rate is $22.50 per hour.
The activities of daily living that I need assistance with include:
• Showering and Bathing
• Dressing/Undressing
• Shaving Face/Body
• Bathroom Assistance
• Catheter Care
• Getting in and/or out of bed
• Stretching, Massage, Some Exercise
• Light Cooking and Meal Prep
• Light House Cleaning
• Driving and Running Small Errands
Shifts needed include Saturday and Sunday mornings through January 2026. Occasional weekday support is possible. Shifts are typically only 2-4 hours depending on the day. This is only a part-time gig.
