For sale is my 1991 Mazda B2200 standard cab pickup truck. Clean Title. The B2200 currently has 72000 original miles! Very low mileage for its age. I am the 3rd owner of this truck and have had it for the last 8 years. This is a late model B2200 with 2.2L Fuel-Injected engine with a 5-spd manual transmission. The engine is original and unmodified. This is latest iteration of this truck available in the US. 1993 was the last year this Japanese built model was sold in the US (before being replaced by re-badged Ford Rangers).
Please note, I will not accept offers over email for the truck, therefore I will not respond to emails with offers. Please come see the truck in person before making an offer.
The B2200 has power steering, air-conditioning, tilt steering column, locking glove box, full LE-5 interior trim / exterior trim package, chrome exterior and interior accents. Working A/C and power steering. I can provide the Carfax and Autocheck report upon request, or you can run your own. Comes with 2x Original Mazda keys, 2x spare keys, 1x key for locking glove box, and 1x key for the locking bed cover. Comes with Original owners manual, warranty booklet, and even the pre-purchase inspection sheet from 1991. Registration is current (until 10/2026).
I initially bought it as a simple work vehicle and it evolved into a full-on restoration project.
This truck now has a bolt-on widebody conversion (completed in 2021) using original Mazda B2600 4x4 body panels. Also added is the highly sought after “bubble” hood from the B2600i. Truck was then repainted with the in its original color and finished off with the factory optional 4x4 flares, powder coated bumpers and chrome exterior accents. With the exception of the chrome grille, all original Mazda parts were used for the conversion. I have gone through great lengths to use as much original Mazda parts for this truck as I could.
Add-ons include: Locking bed cover. Line-X Premium bedliner. 70% tint all around. Clarion stereo with AM/FM/Bluetooth/Pandora. Compustar 2-way alarm with GPS tracking. JDM Recaro seats with lumbar support and optional heating. LED interior and exterior lights.
Modifications (upgrades) include: DJM / Belltech suspension lowering kit with Ridetech (Fox) adjustable shocks. Weld Racing forged alloy wheels with new tires. Powder coated front / rear bumpers and engine bay parts. Braille AGM Battery. Chrome front grille, and more.
With the exception of the 4x4 body conversion (late 2019-2020). I've been driving this truck regularly the during entire process. It’s always been registered under my ownership, and other than the time it spent at the body shop for the 4x4 body conversion, it was never off the road. It has been a very reliable truck.
The Bad:
Carfax does show 1 accident on the report under previous ownership
- The accident was minor enough and the previous owners left it as-is when I purchased it
- I repaired it within a few days
- I can provide pictures of the truck when I purchased it in 2018
Scuffed paint in the passenger rear corner and scratches on the bumper from someone backing into me in a parking lot in April of this year (hit and run).
- Damage is cosmetic (see pictures) and the paint has been touched up.
- I did not have it fixed by a body shop in fear of it occurring again
The vinyl on the top of the door panels have cracks from exposure to the sun.
- Have not been able to source an identical set in better condition
- Replacement door panels are available, but not the same style and not OEM
The wheels could use some polishing, they’re almost the same age as the truck.
This is by no means a show truck, I never intended it to be. This is just my vision of how I wish the truck came off the showroom floor and I wanted daily driver reliability. However, I have done my best to keep it in excellent mechanical and cosmetic shape. All maintenance, both required and preventative, have been done on this truck. The truck is also detailed regularly, ceramic coated, and paint corrected annually. I do have most service records / receipts in my 8 years of ownership. The tags were recently renewed and is registered and until then end of October 2026. It is in excellent running condition. All preventive maintenance has been done and any common or major issue to my knowledge has been addressed.
This B2200 is one of the cleanest examples you will find on the road today. Although a lot of work has been done, the truck is still consists of mainly original Mazda parts. I have well over $40k invested in this truck, thus my asking price. I’m not looking to offload it for cheap. I want it to go to a good home, someone that knows what I have and will take care of it and use it for years to come. If you’re looking for a cheap Mazda pickup, please look elsewhere.
The B2200 has spent its entire life in Northern California. It was originally sold by Oak Tree Mazda in San Jose (now Stevens Creek Mazda) – Local dealer.
Included with the truck are parts that I have accumulated over the years for future maintenance or repairs. This includes some of the original parts that I have removed (for aftermarket parts), and many extra new and used parts. Enough parts to fill the bed of this pickup truck!
Many of the parts on the truck and included in the truck are no longer available to purchase. It is a rare one of a kind build.
Please contact me for a more details about the truck (too much to list in the ad)
I have an entire build sheet I can provide along with a list of parts included with the truck..
You're welcome to bring your mechanic to inspect it.
