Overview - Part Time - Temporary
1. Personal Assistant for CEO
I manage a number of companies, relating mostly to real estate or software services. I hope to hire someone who can help me with a variety of tasks, such as these:
• Undertake, figure out and manage special projects that can take 20 minutes or 20 hours (for example, develop a plan to convert an empty office into co-working space)
• Handle little details and chores that hinder my ability to focus on higher priorities (like post Craigslist ads)
• Follow up on tasks that assigned to others (like other managers, brokers, contractors)
• Occasionally visit my properties, with and without me, to meet staff and find solutions (the photos show properties in Mountain View, San Jose, Los Angeles, Boston and Ireland)
• Be happy to take on other tasks and projects as they arise (if I am willing to do something, so should you, like taking out the trash and cleaning the office)
In my four decades of work, I have never had a personal assistant so I don't know if or how this job will work out. You and I can try it for a week or month on a temporary basis and see how things go.
2. Primary Job Requirements
• Good facility with finance, accounting and tax
• Ability to work 10-30 hours per week, depending on needs (the more tasks you can take on, the more you might work)
• Work at my office in Mountain View, together with my accounting team
• Ten or more years of work experience that show a good history of reliability
• Excellent desktop skills including Excel, Word and hopefully QuickBooks
• Excellent communication skill, in writing and speaking
3. Secondary Job Requirements
• Efficient working style and ability to get things done
• Honesty, maturity, reliability, attentiveness to detail, good communication

• A reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
4. Compensation
• $20-30 per hour, depending on your skill and experience
• 401(k) matching, paid sick leave
• We pay twice a month, on an hourly basis, not on a "project basis"
• We do not pay for holidays or health-care insurance
5. Employee or Contractor?
You will be an employee, not a contractor. U.S. work authorization is required. We will run a background check.
