Apple iPhone iOS 11.4 BUG REPORTED -- DO NOT UPDATE YOUR PHONE
Another iOS, another bug it seems...iOS 11.4 is causing serious batter problems for some users For iPhones older than iPhone 8/8+/X generation we strongly recommend: DO NOT UPGRADE AT THIS TIME. On the official Apple forums there are over 800 reports of iPhone owners having serious issues with their battery life after upgrading to iOS 11.4. Many users are reporting sudden drops in battery life after upgrading. These people noted that their battery was almost fully charged and would drop below 40% in just minutes, then below 20% quickly.

I ALREADY UPGRADED TO iOS 11.4...NOW WHAT?!?
If you have already updated your iPhone to iOS 11.4 and you are experiencing this trouble you may find the problem is less frequent by: TURNING OFF THE HAND-OFF FEATURE. Hand-off is a feature that allows your iPhone, iPad and Mac computer to work together. You can receive text messages and phone calls on your other devices when hand-off is turned on. It's a great feature. However, if you use this feature in iOS 11.4 and your iPhone battery is having severe issues suddenly then turning the Hand-off feature off may eliminate the problem or make it less serious until a new iOS comes out which addresses the problem.

TO TURN OFF HAND-OFF
From your iPhone:
1. tap Settings
2. tap General
3. tap Handoff
4. slide the slider to the off position (the slider should be grey instead of green when it is off)

We hope this helps you. If all else fails, contact Apple support.
