Extremely hard to find. Great addition to any collection. First official US issued trench knife, pyramid spikes on handle guard. Solid wood grips. I believe this model only produced for 1 year. Mark of US 1917 is still visible on guard. This is not a replica.

The M1917 Trench Knife was the first officially adopted U.S. fighting knife of World War I, designed specifically for brutal close-quarters combat in the trenches. It featured a triangular stabbing blade and a spiked knuckle guard, earning it the nickname “knuckle duster.”
Key Features of the M1917 Trench Knife
Triangular blade: About 9 inches long, blued steel, optimized for stabbing rather than slashing.
Knuckle guard: A “D”-shaped steel guard with pyramid-shaped spikes, doubling as a punching weapon.
Handle: Wooden grip, simple and sturdy, attached to the blade and guard.
Markings: Often stamped “U.S. 1917” with manufacturer marks such as LF&C (Landers, Frary & Clark).
Scabbard: Leather sheath with metal fittings, designed to be worn on a belt.
