Mechanical Contractor Project Manager
De Bella Mechanical, Inc., located in Santa Clara, Ca, is a full service mechanical contracting firm. We specialize in high-tech mechanical systems including UHP process piping, HVAC TI, 24 hour service and maintenance and mechanical insulation. We are a growing firm looking for a Project Manager with extensive experience in plan/spec and design/build HVAC TI. Project Manager will be responsible for managing all their projects from point of sale to commissioning and close out of project.
Responsibilities:
• Obtain leads for sales and new projects for HVAC Mechanical scopes $50k up to $4M
• Selling $5-7M annually at mutually agreed profit margin
• Manage projects including estimating, field productivity, coordination with other trades, cashflow, customer relationships, change order management etc.
• Invoicing of projects in timely manner to ensure company cashflow is maintained.
• Provide leadership to Project Engineers and assist with training of younger staff to become next generation of PMs.
• Perform calculations and engineering if applicable for design/build projects or manage outside consultants to ensure quality design is submitted meeting customer’s requirements and firms budget.
• Prepare estimates and budgets for submittal to clients for competitive bids.
Requirements:
• Bachelor of Science ME or CM
• CA PE or 4-5 years of experience managing Design/Build projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient with MS Office
• Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record
• Experience with progressive responsibility with a Mechanical Contractor managing projects $1M to $5M in size
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in HVAC design
• Construction management experience
• Ability to manage multiple projects
• Ability to market new clients and maintain customer relationships
• Self starter that can manage their own time effectively
• Desire to move up in management of company
