Vintage 1994 Specialized Tandem size 17" front, 15" rear.
VERY RARE, these were made in limited numbers1991-1995.
The frame is 6061 series T6 Aluminum, made by American Bicycle Manufacturing in St. Cloud, Minnesota for the Specialized Bicycle Company. The frame design by Mark DiNucci features a strong lightweight and unique "uptube construction" with beautiful welds and paint scheme.
As these are no longer made, these Deja-Tu tandems are very much sought after bicycles and
are collectable with vintage bicycle enthusiasts.

I am the 2nd owner of this awesome tandem bicycle.
The first owner bought it as a frame set in 1998 and built it up as an on off road racing tandem. It was ridden a few times recreationally, raced once at the Sea Otter event in Monterey, California in 2002 then put in a garage for storage until
I acquired it in 2020.
I have since re-configured the bicycle with a non-suspension front fork with a disc brake, drop bars and Ultegra brifters for mostly paved and gravel path riding.
Drivetrain is Shimano XTR, 10 speed rear cog set, Race Face Turbine Forged CNC machined cranks 175mm triple.
Brakes are U-brake rear and disk brake front.
Wheels are 26". QR Mavic 117 rear, QR Mavic 517 front, Hugi front hub. Continental Tires, low miles.

The 17/15 frame size. Front rider fit 5'4'-5'9", rear rider fit 5'0-5'3", this isa rough estimate guideline for proper fit.
The frame, wheels, everything are in ready to ride condition and this bike has always been stored indoors and has been well cared for ,it is in excellent, clean condition. There are some minor scratches on the frame from it being in storage by the original owner but otherwise the paint on the entire bicycle is super clean, intact.
