ITEM LOCATED IN SAN JOSE. This is an original 19th century stipple engraving printed in color depicting Elizabeth Dauncey (b. 1506) who was More’s second daughter, and had recently married William Dauncey. The inscription ‘The Lady Barkley’ is an eighteenth-century misidentification. It was engraved by C. Knight after a picture by Hans Holbein the Younger (German, 1497-1543). The image is from "His Majesty's Collection," published in 1812 by Chamberlaine, London. The frame is 10.5" wide and 13.5" high. Asking $125 (Or make offer).
