ITEM LOCATED IN SAN JOSE. This is a large brass vessel which originally was most likely used by the fireplace as a coal scuttle or ash bin, and could still serve that purpose today. However, in a modern home it would make an excellent decorative or accent piece for the entranceway/doorway. It can also be used a an umbrella stand. It has two handles on each side made of solid brass tubing and hollow ceramic cylinders. The ceramic has Delft style floral patterns in blue and white. Overall, the item is 18" tall, 16" wide (from handle to handle), 12" deep and weighs about 6 lb. The mouth is about 8.5" in diameter. Asking $125 (OBO).
