ITEM LOCATED IN SAN JOSE/SANTA CLARA. This decorative/souvenir item seems to have been made by the local indigenous people living along the Amazon River near the city of Manus, Brazil. It has been beautifully hand-crafted with fine detail using a combination of natural and man-made materials: wood, bamboo, scales, clay like compound, paint, cotton, etc. It has complex relief 3D structures depicting the head, face, nose and mouth of a man (or devil). The eyes and teeth are red in color. The round brown head (possibly a gourd or shell of some fruit) acts as a rattle. It has some seeds inside it which make sound when shaken. It is 16" long and about 2.5" in maximum diameter. There are 2 darts attached to it. Asking $100 (OBO).
