For sale is a MakerBot Method X Cabon Fiber Edition 3D printer.
This printer has a heated chamber and can print the following:
ABS
ABS Carbon Fiber
PLA
Nylon 6 Carbon Fiber
Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber
I personally have successfully printed ABS, PLA, Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber, as well as some stainless steel parts, with a special spool of BASF stainless filament. Printing stainless is really cool - just use the exact same settings as ABS and it works.
I am getting rid of it because it is overkill for my needs and I just want a smaller PLA printer.
Included are the following (this is all a good deal):
1 spool new Glow-in-the-Dark PLA
2 spools new Matterhackers Black ABS 1kg
2 spools new Matterhackers White ABS 1kg
1 spool rainbow green PLA 750g
1 spool red/blue PLA 750g
1 spool 95% unused 3kg BASF Ultrafuse 17-4 stainless steel (about $450 new for the spool)
1 Experimental Extruder (that allows you to print all of the above)
1 1C Extruder for general purpose and carbon fiber
1 2 Extruder for PLA water soluble support
1 2XA Extruder for ABS chemical soluble support
1 1C and 1 2 extruders that are somewhat broken and can be salvaged for parts.
1 New spool MakerBot ABS-R Black
1 New spool MakerBot ABS-R Red
1 New Spool RapidRinse water soluble ABS-R support
1 New spool MakerBot ABS White
1 90% unused spool MarkeBot Nylon 12 Carbon Fiber (Black)
2 spare nozzles
1 cleaning brush
1 spatula
2 Build Plates
The stuff that's being thrown in with the printer is probably close to $2k alone, and I think just the Method X carbon fiber edition printer with the experimental extruder sells for $6500 new.
The condition of the printer is very good and I still use it. Both build plates could probably each use a new surface.
FYI, MakerBot has moved the build software to the cloud, but I still have a copy of the desktop software I can give you.
