College Applications are due soon, but it’s not too late to craft a sharp and favorable application! Early applications for most state and private universities are due during November-January, and UC applications are due December 1st, so book sessions now to ensure time to draft, revise, and present the best possible applicant narrative.
I'm an independent college advisor and essay editor, ready to help with all phases of a student’s college application. A qualified college advisor can reduce confusion over the increasingly complex application process, ensure applications are thorough and complete, avoid deadline stress, calm family tensions, and increase a student’s enthusiasm about the future.
**If your essay has only been read by friends and/or family, you would really benefit from outside, objective feedback. Many students unintentionally write essays that "flag" them as too unreliable or immature for college. Make sure you write an essay that instead presents you as a good bet for the university.**
Happy to work with students on any one part of the process, or from start to finish. Single sessions or multi-session packages available. Services I assist with include:
• Researching and evaluating schools to identify a strong fit for the student’s profile
• Securing persuasive letters of recommendation from overwhelmed teachers and coaches
• Providing guidance on standardized testing, atypical grades, and scholarships
• Crafting compelling activity and awards descriptions and expanded resumes that promote a clear identity
• Writing and revising the Common App personal statement essay, school-specific supplementary essays, and UC personal insight questions to avoid common pitfalls and instead produce a personal connection with admissions committees
• Organizing and tracking task lists, test scores, transcripts, and other online materials to complete applications and meet deadlines without last-minute panic
I offer a more personalized, flexible, and less expensive experience than application consulting programs and online tutoring companies – just what you need and nothing you don’t. Reply to this ad by email to get in touch.
